FOOD DIARY – A WEEK OF SLIMMING WORLD

Since Starting Slimming World I’ve had a number of people ask me “What is it really like?” Maybe some people think that these types of “diets” are really strict…or you have to basically starve, but in all honesty that’s not the case at all. 

I know there are many diets in the world…some work, some…not so well, with Slimming World I don’t really feel like I’m on a diet? I know that sounds weird but I’ve started to enjoy my food, and I am kinda warming up to this whole “cooking” thing. I know what I eat in a week and in my Last Weight-loss post “Diet Update – Autumn” I love to plan my week in advance with a food/meal planner and a food shopping checklist. Another vital key that helps me keep track of what I put in my mouth is my weekly food diary.

 I fill this out Thursday – Thursday (Weigh Night) And take it into the group for our consultant to look through. Each week can be different from the next, Work or commitments can get in the way of how much I eat, have time to cook or exercise.

For this food diary, I will start on Thursday (Weigh Day) and input my whole food diary for the week ahead, and on the next weigh day.

Each week I make sure I stock up on Speed Food – these are Veggies and Fruit that help kick your metabolism. Free foods are your meet and other veg/fruit that you can still eat. You are allowed 5-15 Syns each day, 1 Syn is 20 Calories, I normally use the Slimming World Website to calculate Syns if I want to treat myself a little.

THURSDAY – 19th October

Breakfast: 40g (Around 22 – I know Random) Weetabix Chocolate Minis, 100ml Skimmed Milk 

Lunch: Cheeky Chicken Fried Rice (Recipe Coming Soon) – With A Banana & Muller Light Yoghurt 

Dinner: Slimming World Chicken, Bacon & Tomato Pasta Bake W/ Carrots, Peppers, Peas, Sweetcorn and Mushroom (Recipe coming soon!)

Snacks: x1 Banana x1 Apple

SYNS: 2 TSP Honey – 4 Syns Protein Bar – 6 Syns

FRIDAY – 20th October

Breakfast: X2 Wholemeal  Toast (400G Loaf – Baked Beans & Scrambled Egg 

Lunch: Slimming World (Homemade) Chilli-Con-Carne W/ Rice

Dinner; Jacket Potato W/ Prawns, Light Mayo & Salad – YOU ONLY SYN THE MAYO.

Snacks: X1 Muller Light Yoghurt x1 Banana X6 Strawberries

SYNS: Protein Bar – 6 Syns 1X TBSP Nutella – 5 Syns 1X TBSP Light Mayo – 3

SATURDAY – 21st October

Breakfast: Overnight Oats W/ Honey & Berries

Lunch: Left Over SW Pasta Bake

Dinner: Slimming World (Homemade) Chilli-Con-Carne W/ Rice

Snacks: X2 HI-FI BARS (Slimming World Own Bars)

SYNS: Honey – 4 Syns

SUNDAY – 22nd October

Breakfast: 40g Weetabix Chocolate Minis, 100ml Skimmed Milk 

Lunch: Jacket Potato W/ Prawns, Light Mayo & Salad – YOU ONLY SYN THE MAYO

Dinner: Slimming World Stir Fry (Recipe Coming Soon)

Snacks: Muller Light Yoghurt, x1 Orange

SYNS: Protein Bar 6 Syns, X2 Belvita Bars 4 Syns

MONDAY – 23rd October

OVERALL FOR THIS WEEK: The past week has been a good one! from losing 3 pounds last week I’ve got through this week more motivated than ever! I’m sure as soon as 7pm comes around I will be nervous and won’t want to get back on the scales!

So…that was my past week! I am being weighed tonight so fingers crossed I have lost 2 pounds and hit my 1st stone award!
